University of Ottawa doctor honoured for stroke research, network

University of Ottawa professor Dr. Antoine Hakim, 71, will be inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Thursday for his “visionary” work creating the Canadian Stroke Network, which helps thousands of Canadian families deal with the affects of strokes and raises awareness about stroke prevention.
