Hospice mourns ‘Dr. Isaac’ — the dog who comforted the dying

OTTAWA — The favourite doctor at the Hospice at May Court didn’t know how to use a stethoscope, but staff at the hospice said he was the best they’ve seen at playing games of fetch. He was affectionately known as “Dr. Isaac” and he was a 12-year-old white Labrador retriever. Isaac would spend his time at the hospice roaming the hallways checking in on patients.
