Ex-senator Raymond Lavigne loses appeal of fraud conviction

Former senator Raymond Lavigne’s appeal of his convictions for fraud and breach of trust has been dismissed. In a decision released Friday, the Ontario Court of Appeal concluded that the Ottawa judge who found Lavigne guilty made no legal errors. The court rejected Lavigne’s attempt to have his convictions overturned.
