Taking back their youth: Decades later, Ottawa seniors experience their first prom night

On Thursday at the Beacon Heights retirement home in east Ottawa, seniors donned corsages and dress clothes to spend an evening that for many of them, was more than 60 years in the making. As part of a countrywide initiative, 19 retirement residences in Canada hosted a prom night this week, which for many seniors was a first-time event.
