Jacques Mungwarere not guilty of genocide in Rwanda, Ottawa judge rules

OTTAWA — An Ottawa judge has ruled there was a plot to fabricate evidence against Jacques Mungwarere’s role in the Rwandan genocide as he acquitted him of genocide and crimes against humanity Friday morning. Mungwarere had been accused of organizing and executing brutal attacks in his native Rwanda against the ethnic Tutsi minority in 1994.
