Court expands receiver’s powers over Assaly assets

Ontario Superior Court Judge Paul Kane has greatly expanded the powers of an interim receiver over the assets of Thomas G. Assaly after reviewing allegations that the former Ottawa businessman has acted to shelter his money and property from investors who allege he misappropriated their money.
