Community Developer Volunteer (Fixable hours)
Report to: Program Coordinator, Department of Client Services
Responsibilities:
. Assist to organize events and activities for newcomers: newcomer welcome party, community awareness tours, and workshops
. Search community resources that the newcomers can benefit from: benefits, services for children, women, youth and seniors
. Search government policies related to newcomers and translate into Chinese
. Client case management: data entry, design registration and sign in forms, verify client’ s status
Qualification
. Familiar with or willing to work in a community service setting
. Comfortable to work with newcomers
. Being able to work independently
. Familiar with Microsoft Office, and internet search engines
