怎么识别基因改造过的水果蔬菜？

网上说5位数的标号如果以8开头就是转基因的，9开头是Organic。
美国甜玉米是臭名昭著的，但是在package label上看不到5位数的标号，难道是那个条形码？
有谁知道咋回事？

有机的自然愿意用，是个卖点。
转基因的就秘而不宣了，直接用四位数的号和非转基因非有机的一样。
