新华网8月10日电 据《太阳报》报道，英国一对夫妇持免费的公交通票旅行500英里，不花钱穿越整个英国。
这对夫妇的名字分别是迈克尔和杰奎・布尔登，他们都是退休人员，年龄都超过60岁，所以享受免费公交的福利补贴。在他们为期8天的旅程中，共乘坐了15家公司的28辆公交车。
夫妇二人7月29日从德文郡埃克塞特附近的家中出发前往坎布里亚郡卡莱尔，还写日记记录他们的行程。
以前是科学家的迈克尔说：“我们到世界各地旅行过，但这一次是我们最棒的旅程之一。”
已经是四个孩子母亲的杰奎补充道：“我们每人省下了121英镑的正常票价，而且都住在朋友或亲戚家里。”
但这对精打细算的夫妇返程时可准备要浪费一番了，他们每人花103英镑购买了火车票一等座。

Bus pass couple travel 500 miles across England for free
A COUPLE have travelled 500 miles across England for nothing using their free bus passes。
Michael and Jacqui Burden， who get the perk as they are both retired and in their 60s， hopped on 28 buses from 15 firms for the eight-day jaunt。
The pair set off from home near Exeter， Devon， on July 29 and kept a diary of their trek to Carlisle， Cumbria。
Michael， a former scientist， said: “We’ve been all over the world but this was one of our best trips。”
Mum-of-four Jacqui added: “We each saved ？121 on normal fares and stayed with friends and relatives。”
But the scrimping went to waste on the way home ― they paid ？103 each for FIRST-CLASS train tickets。
