Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Ottawa

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for much of eastern Ontario. The watch issued at 1:22 p.m. for Ottawa South-Richmond and Metcalfe, as well as Ottawa North, Kanata and Orléans said there is the potential for severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall Tuesday afternoon and evening.
