最近Parking Ticket好值钱+上庭争取自己的利益

今天在Carleton大学对面（过Bronson）的Brewer Park泊车。没看见路边禁止停车的牌子，吃了一张$75的Ticket:flaming: 。太贵啦，不知可不可以上诉啊？哪位朋友有上诉经验的给出个主意吧。在此提醒大家这段时间停车要特别小心。

If you dispute and fails, your fine will be higher. However, if the officer don't show up, you don't have to pay the ticket. And if the officer show up, then be prepare to pay the ticket cox you have almost no chance to win. That's my experience.

Fchis, thanks for answering my post
Is it possible that I ask for reduction of the amount? A normal parking ticket is around $40. This ticket is just crazy.

I don't agree with you. I had appealed the ticket for 3 times. Two won 1 failed. For that time failed, I played guilty and gave the judger some reasons, I got my fine reduced. Usually, your fine could be reduced if you have some reasons. Anyway, the fine won't be higher even you fail.

Thanks wangwang I'm encouraged by your information.Just one more question here. What reason did you offer to the judge? I had clean driving history before and this was my first parking ticket. Will this be a good reason? Also the time for my ticket is 8:20pm. Can I argue that because it was dark I didn't see the non-parking sign? Thank you again.:bsmile:
