Poor visibility cancelled the launch of balloons at the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival (Festival de Montgolfieres de Gatineau) on Friday, August 30, 2013, although several balloons flew tethered at the site. The event, held at Parc de La Baie, has been in operation since 1988. This year, balloons attended from across Canada and the United States as well as Brazil and Belgium.
