Awareness key for Walk of Hope co-chair who lost her sister to ovarian cancer

Lynn Griffiths listened to her sister Anne complain of bloating, weight gain, back pain and sore legs for two-and-a-half years before she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2004. “Her female physician kept telling her, ‘Oh, you just need to lose a little weight or get a little more exercise.’ She ended up in emergency with a bowel obstruction and she had a 15-centimetre tumour in her abdomen.”
