If you know that most of your kids G1 - G 6 (Maths) teachers (*) are not Maths graduate, then you won't be surprised that recently published Ontariio EQAO results showing Ontario kids Maths skills is disappointing.
* Because of ADMINISTRATIVE convenience, and thinking a U graduate is COMPETENT to teacher any G 1 to G 6 subjects, hence if there is a need to hire G 1 - G 6 teacher, there is no need to consider what is the major of that teacher, just hire a teacher to fill that hole (Matrix Management?), and that teacher is both class teacher and "ALL" subjects teacher of that class. And this is the Canadian education that your kids are now receiving (vs in China, G 1 maths teacher must be Maths graduate). If you have money, better send your kids attending Maths TUTORING class.
