Fatal crash west of Deep River closes Highway 17

A serious two-vehicle crash Friday morning has closed Highway 17 in both directions west of Deep River. Police were called to the crash just west of Driftwood Provincial Park Road in Head Clara Maria Township just before 11 a.m. Polie say westbound car collided with an oncoming tractor trailer near the park entrance. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
