Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Keith Egli and Councillor Mathieu Fleury will host an event to mark the completion of Phase I of the Rideau Street Renewal project.
Date: Friday, Sept 27, 2013
Time: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
(Walking tour starts 11:45 a.m.)
Location: 363 Rideau Street, Loblaws Supermarket
(Corner of Rideau Street and Nelson Street)
Photo Opportunity: A ceremonial ribbon and cake cutting and followed by a walking tour of Rideau Street.
Parking is available on Nelson Street and a media box will be provided.
The walking tour: The tour will start at Loblaws, then cross Nelson Street to the Bytowne Cinema and cross Rideau Street to the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre. The tour will head then towards Rideau Bakery and cross on Friel Street, returning on the other side of Rideau Street.
