OTTAWA — An 81-year-old man faces charges after allegedly beating his dog to death with a hammer. Ontario Provincial Police responded to a home in Lyndhurst, Ont., about 40 minutes west of Brockville, after a resident reported they witnessed a man beating his dog with a hammer.
