Carleton student killed by passing car on Hwy. 401

The 22-year-old man killed Monday on Hwy. 401 near Kingston was a student at Carleton University. In a statement issued Wednesday afternoon, the university said that Arif Merani, who was hit by a passing vehicle after he got out of his car to check on a flat fire, was Carleton fourth-year law student.
