A 71-year-old man from Mayo, 50 kilometres northeast of Gatineau, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries Sunday after a head-on collision in L’Ange-Gardien. MRC des Collines police said the man was driving northbound on Highway 315, near the junction to Highway 309, when his small blue car drifted over the median. An oncoming pickup truck was able to slow down but not stop before the impact.
