冬胎要装“轮胎压力监测系统（TPMS)” 吗？

我目前的车有轮胎压力监测系统（TPMS)。 我在买冬胎， 轮胎销售车行问我是否要这个TPMS。 那位知道：
1. 如果要， 大致多少钱 （Ford EScape 2012 上）
2. 不要， 指示灯会亮。 但不要， 是否安全？

你的tpms是靠ABS sensor计算胎压的还是靠轮胎里的sensor的？前者不需要任何东西，后者如果不装dashboard上的tpms灯会亮

据说看车的，有的可以变通，有的就很执拗。

I believe all Fords are using passive rubber valve stem style.
If no TPMS installed in the winter tire, dash-light will be on. No affect on other functionalities of your car.
Won't void warranty, just need to look at tires from time to time like the old days.

My car does not have TPMS even nowadays.

每4周打一次气, 开车前检查一次.
反正有没有TPMS这些都要做的.

感应器越多越麻烦，感应器都是给懒人蠢人设计配置的。

Quebec requires winter tires and US requires TPMS.
It's added extra safety measures to general public.

I am kinda waiting for Ontario to enforce winter tire installation.
