Collection vehicles to be off city streets by 5 p.m. on Halloween

Ottawa - Halloween evening, Thursday, October 31, solid waste collection will end early. For everyone’s safety, collection vehicles will end their routes so that they do not interfere with youngsters when they go trick-or-treating.

Collection vehicles will adjust their collection service to ensure that they are off the streets by 5 p.m. on Halloween night.

If you have Thursday collection, the collection vehicles will do their best to collect your items before 5 p.m., however, if your items have not been picked up by 5 p.m., please leave them at the curb and they will be picked up on Friday, November 1.

Once Halloween is over, remember to put your jack-o’-lanterns in your green bin.
