Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson will be joined by Councillor Mark Taylor, Community and Protective Services Committee Chair, to present the recipients of the 2013 Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards. Councillors Mathieu Fleury, Jan Harder and Marianne Wilkinson will also be in attendance to represent the wards of the winners’ businesses.

Location: Andrew Haydon Hall (Council Chamber), City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West
The awards are presented annually to celebrate and recognize local business people who have immigrated to Canada and achieved success in their entrepreneurial endeavours and have contributed their time and support to make a difference in their community. The awards presentation will launch The Indus Entrepreneurs’ (TiE) flagship entrepreneurial conference TiECon Canada taking place at Jean Pigott Place and Andrew Haydon Hall.
