Ottawa – Due to construction activity being undertaken by the National Capital Commission (NCC), there will be lane reductions on Colonel By Drive, in the Hartwell Locks area, behind Carleton University, beginning today. Work will be conducted Monday to Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., until the end of November, weather permitting.
Flag persons and directional signage will be on site to direct traffic on the opened lane of Colonel By Drive. Motorists can expect traffic delays and are being asked to use the Queen Elizabeth Driveway during the work.
On Saturday November 2 Colonel By Drive will be closed from Hog’s Back Road to Bronson Avenue, from 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m.
Cyclists and pedestrians will be able to continue using the Rideau Canal Recreational Pathway during the work.
For more information, the public may contact the NCC at 613-239-5000, 1-800-465-1867, 613-239-5090 (TTY) or 1-866-661-3530 (toll-free TTY) or visit the NCC’s website at www.ncc-ccn.gc.ca.
