Continuous pour of the Strandherd Armstrong Bridge deck underway

Ottawa – Today, crews began pouring the deck of the Strandherd Armstrong Bridge. It is expected to take approximately 30 hours to complete the work. Set up and concrete pouring activities began mid morning

Lighting and noise will be kept to minimum levels. During this period, there will be additional construction activity in the area.

The Strandherd Armstrong Bridge is a new bridge located between River Road and Prince of Wales Drive. The Bridge, over the Rideau River UNESCO World Heritage Site, will connect Strandherd Drive and Earl Armstrong Road and will accommodate traffic, transit, cyclists and pedestrians.
