Copper thieves strike Ottawa area highway lights

The Ontario Provincial Police are asking drivers to keep their eyes open to help catch thieves who been stripping wire from highway lights in and around Ottawa. Four light standards have been hit since August, said Const. Rheal Levac, on Highway 416, Highway 7 and the west end of Highway 417 near Kinburn and Galetta side roads. Similar thefts have occurred within Ottawa, he said.
