Ottawa - Mayor Jim Watson will host a commemorative naming ceremony at 100 Constellation Drive in honour of community leader and former Nepean Mayor, Mary Pitt.
College Ward Councillor Rick Chiarelli, who served on Nepean City Council while Mrs. Pitt was in office, will emcee the ceremony.
Date: Friday, November 8, 2013
Time: 2 to 2:30 p.m.
Location: Jaguar Room, 100 Constellation Drive
Mayor Watson, Mrs. Pitt and Members of City Council will be available for comment following the unveiling of a commemorative plaque.
The naming of Mary Pitt Centre was established through the City of Ottawa’s Commemorative Naming Policy.
