请问关于考G驾照的事情`~~~~`
本人在国内没有驾照，在这边才考了G2，到现在才6个月吧~~`
但我想去考G，所以问问大家我什么时候可以考G驾照。

How about if I have got my license over 5 years?

I've got my driver license over 5 years in my hometown. I just arrived here and passed my G1 test last week. Questions,
1. Can I just register G test?
2. If I can only have G2 test, when am I able to have G test?
3. I'm planning to buy cars before I get my G2/G license, is it possible?
4. Any good car insurance companines information u can provide to me?

1. Yes, you can just register G2 exit road test. But if you fail, you have to start from G1 exit next time.

2. N/A

3. It is possible, but not worth doing that. You will need an instructor who has a G lincense for at least 4 years and Insurance will be sooooo high.

4. Depends on your situation, like The Personal, Monnex......

It costs around $400, and I don't think I need it since I've been driving over 5 years.) What's the best "procedure" for driving in Canada? Got a license, find insurance company and then buy a car? G1拿到后考G2要等12个月，凭驾校证书可提前4个月
拿到G2驾照后考G照要等12个月。

To my knowledge, many people go to driving school not only for learning how to drive(they can also learn from friends), but also for getting a certificate, with which insurance company will reduce your car insurance dramatically.One of my friends with G2 went to a driving school just for the insurance purpose.
I think you can buy a car first, but before you can drive, you might have to have you chinese license notarized(with that, you can drive alone for 3 months, after 3 months, you have to get a canadian one).
You can call a few insurance companies to compare their quotations( with/without driving school certificate), then make your decision.Your insurance will change once you notify your insurance company of any changes,say, get you G2 or G license, or driving school certificate.
