A street corner in Hintonburg that was for years the site of a derelict variety store and squatters’ paradise is up for redevelopment into rowhouses. The property at the corner of Merton and Ladouceur streets has been an eyesore till its most recent owner — and would-be developer — tore down the ramshackle old building.
