Police investigate string of break-ins

OTTAWA — Police are investigating a string of daytime home break-ins targeting high-end jewelry, cash and handbags in neighbourhoods across the city. Ottawa police Staff Sgt. Kal Ghadban, the officer in charge of the break and enter unit, said all nine of the break-ins reported in the last three weeks targeted homes owned by people of Asian descent.
