FIFA contract’s gooooaaaal: Hide Ottawa construction

In the midst of sweeping infrastructure construction over the next five years, the city will have to do its best to hide major work sites when the FIFA Women’s World Cup arrives in 2015. As part of a contract signed by the city and FIFA, the host must make the nation’s capital as “attractive as possible” by “obstructing the view to major construction” projects that are visible to the public and close to major transport hubs, entertainment areas and stadiums, according to the document.
