Lucent doesn't look good in the next several Qs due to weekening in wireless sales. I guess NT will see the same impact soon. However, their stock prices already reflect that (especially true for LU). For long term (2 to 3 years or more) investors, it is not a bad idea to accumulate some LU in the next few months.
As a general rule, never feed up yourself full in one shot. Try to buy or sell gradually (step by step), so called vertical diversification (time spreading).
Whenever you don't have full confidence but some favorable feelings about a stock and you're hesitating a lot, try to take a half position. In this case, you're psychlogically balanced: you're not affraid of missing the boat and you don't worry much if something doesn't go in your direction in the near term.
