Ottawa – Starting Monday, December 2 and through the week, overnight geotechnical drilling is being conducted along Highway 174, between Blair Road and Montreal Road and will result in lane reductions. This work is being done in preparation for planned rehabilitation or replacement work on existing storm water culverts in the area and will be weather dependent.
Activities related to this work will occur between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. and will entail drilling in the ditch on both sides of Highway 174 – with one borehole being drilled on the eastbound passing lane. The drilling on the eastbound lane will result in the full-lane closure to facilitate this work.
Staff will be on-site to ensure the safety of the field crew and passing traffic.
