Hotel stay extended for family of five made homeless by Bronson Avenue fire

An Ottawa family of five who lost everything in a fire at their Bronson Avenue home this week are receiving support from the community and have been given at least little more time to find a place to stay. The Canadian Red Cross extended the hotel stay for Kenneth Newberry and his four children — ages nine, 14, 18 and 20 — for one night, it emerged Friday.
