OTTAWA — Michael Wassill’s family came face-to-face with his accused killer for the first time Thursday, sitting a few metres away from Carson Morin as he abandoned, for now, his bid to be released on bail. A two-day bail hearing for Morin, 21, charged with first-degree murder in Wassill’s death, was originally to begin on Thursday. Now it won’t happen until the new year, if it happens at all.
