Eight people are unable to spend Christmas Eve at home after a fire broke out Tuesday at a townhouse located at 2725 Equus Way. Ottawa Fire Services responded to a call that a mattress was on fire shortly before 1 p.m. Upon arrival, there was a fire in a second-storey bedroom.
