Ottawa – Starting January 2, Nomination Papers and candidate information will be available on ottawa.ca /vote. Individuals wishing to run for the offices of Mayor, City Councillor and school board Trustee can also pick up Nomination Papers at the City’s elections office at 1221 Cyrville Road, Unit B; Ottawa City Hall government services centre; or any City of Ottawa client service centre. Nomination Papers can be filed starting Thursday, January 2, 2014 for Ottawa’s next municipal elections, which will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014.
A Nomination Paper must be filed in person, or by an agent acting on the individual’s behalf, at any of the above locations. The filing fee is $200 for the office of Mayor and $100 for the offices of Councillor or school board Trustee. The filing fee is payable by cash, certified cheque, money order, debit or credit. Nominations will close on Friday, September 12, 2014, at 2 p.m.
