Gatineau issues boil-water advisory after water main breaks

OTTAWA — Gatineau’s Masson-Angers and Buckingham sectors were under a boil-water advisory Friday evening because of a major water main break in the city’s east end. About 27,500 people were affected, whether or not they experienced an interruption or drop in pressure in their water supply, the city said in a press release just before 7 p.m. Municipal crews were working to fix the situation, the release said.
