Police release photo of man wanted for attempted murder

OTTAWA — Ottawa police have released the photo of a man wanted in connection with the attempted murder of a woman on Cummings Avenue. Police said Mitch Kalil, 31, is considered armed and a risk to public safety following the Sunday shooting that injured a woman in her 20s. She was taken to hospital in stable condition with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound following the 2:20 p.m. shooting.
