New media training at Foreign Affairs aims to help officials avoid ‘pitfalls’

Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada is rolling out new media training for its spokespersons and other personnel to help them deal with troublesome questions from pesky journalists. In a tender posted this week, Foreign Affairs invited contractors to submit bids for customized media training, for spokesmen such as heads of mission and political and trade officers with a communications mandate, at the department’s headquarters on Sussex Drive and in missions abroad.
