On the plus side, the not-for-profit Ottawa Velodrome Project has raised more than $25,000. However, having $25,000 in the bank only gets backers of a proposed indoor cycling facility so much closer to starting construction or renovation of an existing structure in the nation’s capital, and they’re mulling over the idea of trying the Quebec side of the Ottawa River.
