In a bid to remain relevant, the Ottawa Public Library is bringing in a 3D printer, a laser cutter, a green screen and other technological goodies. Thanks to a partnership with the U.S. Embassy, the library will open its new “maker space” at the Nepean Centrepointe library branch some time in April. Adding the new equipment is the latest move the library has made to appeal to a generation that is looking for more than just books from its public learning spaces.
