What do you do with a guy like Gordon Summers, in desperate need of in-home care for a personal hygiene issue that has led to a frightening cellulitis infection in his lower legs, ankles and feet? The Cornwall man’s often cantankerous ways have not won him any friends at the Champlain Community Care Access Centre, which co-ordinates services with homecare agencies in Eastern Ontario. If he had just bitten his tongue, maybe the Champlain CCAC would still be trying to help.
