Environment Canada issued a special weather statement early Friday advising Ottawa and surrounding areas to brace for a snowstorm on Saturday. The statement issued at 4:40 a.m. said a low pressure system from the southern U.S. is expected to affect much of southern Ontario Saturday and Sunday.
