That joke about Canada having 10 months of winter and two months of tough sledding is evaporating fast. Recent blizzards notwithstanding, the trend is toward warmer winters and a lot less snow — meaning, among other things, fewer opportunities for skiing and similar cold-season sports that help define the Canadian winter.
