Ottawa space industry ‘happy’ with renewed federal focus

Ottawa’s space industries lined up to praise Canada’s new space policy framework as soon as Industry Minister James Moore announced it Friday. At the Ottawa office of Com Dev, a major Canadian builder of communications equipment and optical devices for satellites, Chris Dodd said he was “very happy” with the document. He’s the director of business development at the company, which has 1,000 employees in Canada, 35 in Ottawa.
