Barrhaven woman fined for allowing cat to get too fat

A Barrhaven woman has been fined $1,220 for allowing her cat to become obese, dirty and badly matted. Napoleon the cat was euthanized shortly after he arrived at the Ottawa Humane Society on May 7, 2013. The 10-year-old tabby weighed 25 pounds, was covered in feces on his backside and had badly matted fur.
