Rogers Communications is looking into a Barrhaven woman’s complaint that she was bullied by a store manager for commiserating with other customers about having to wait in line at its Strandherd Drive outlet. Karen Peters says Rogers’ head office in Toronto contacted her a few hours after The Public Citizen called the company for comment. She says she was told by a woman from the “office of the president” that the company was waiting to see if video footage of the encounter is available. Her initial complaint was being handled by Nadim Helou, Rogers’s local manager of corporate stores. He ended up giving the 25-years-plus Rogers customer a $100 credit in the hope of keeping her business. He assured her in an email that “this behaviour will not happen again.” Helou did not respond to an email from the Citizen.
