Environment Canada warns of whiteouts, hazardous roads

Blowing snow Thursday night was expected to cause whiteout conditions, and Environment Canada was advising drivers to be ready for low visibility and hazardous driving. A band of flurries, heavy at times, was expected to move into the Ottawa, Gatineau and Cornwall areas Thursday evening, quickly bringing two to four centimetres of snow in some places and reducing visibility to 250 metres or less.
