Ottawa – On Monday, March 3, a new Park and Ride lot will open in Orléans at the Ray Friel Recreation Complex at 1585 Tenth Line Road, which will provide residents with alternative commuting options. There will be 30 parking spaces reserved at the complex for permit holders at a cost of $23 a month.

  • 30 spaces in assigned area on the west side of the parking lot
  • Guaranteed parking, Monday to Friday until 6 p.m., with a permit – $23/month
  • Nearby bus service

Bus Service Options:

  • Peak period route 136 to/from Place d’Orléans, operating nearby on Tenth Line
  • Express Route 35 to/from downtown and local Route 135 on Bottriell at Merkley
  • Express Route 27 to/from downtown and Gatineau, and local Route 131, on Charlemagne at Tenth Line

A $23 monthly permit is required to Park and Ride at Ray Friel, along with proof of pass or Presto card purchase. Permits are available by the 15th of the previous month based on availability. To order a permit, call 613-842-3636, extension 2446. Call early to allow sufficient time for mailing. Payment can only be made with MasterCard, Visa or American Express.

Ray Friel will supplement the 1,750 parking spaces already available in Orléans at Place d’Orléans, Trim, Jeanne d’Arc and Millennium Park and Ride lots, which offer a mix of free and permit parking.
