Children vomiting after possible exposure to contaminant at Travellodge pool

OTTAWA — Between 25 to 30 children were exposed to an abrasive contaminant at the Carling Avenue Travellodge hotel Saturday evening, officials said. At 7:30 p.m., Hazmat and paramedic crews were responding to reports that children and others were vomiting after being possibly exposed to “some form of abrasive contaminant” near the pool area, according to statements from Ottawa Fire and Ottawa Paramedic services.
